GIVEN:ar(DBC)=ar(EBC) and they lie on the same base BC
TO PROVE: BC is parallel to DE
PROOF: as triangle (EBC) and triangle(DBC) are equal in area and also on same base BC
We know that,
if two triangles lie on same base and are equal in area then the line opposite to the base will be parallel to base.
=> BC|| DE
Hence,Proved!
