a) The process depicted here is pollination, more specifically cross pollination by insects.

b) The next process that follows is fertilisation. In fertilisation, the pollen grains germinate when they fall on the stigma of the flower of the same species. Then it develops a pollen tube which helps in the transfer of the sperm nuclei in the ovule. Then one of the sperm nuclei fuses with the egg cell and the other fuses with the polar nuclei. This leads to double fertilisation. Also remember that before the double fertilisation, the generative nucleus of the pollen tube degenerates. Then the ovule becomes a seed.
