1.It has improved country's economic development.
2. Many Indian companies have raised their production standards.
3. Many local producers have benefited as they supply raw materials and finished products to the MNC.
4. Consumers get improved quality of goods at cheaper rates.
5. Globalisation has created many employment opportunities.
18. Consumer protection act was passed in 1986 for the benefit of the consumers.
Under copra a three tier quasi judicial machinery at the district, state and national level was set up for redressal of consumer disputes.
The district level court deals with cases involving claims up-to 20 lakhs. The state level deal with cases involving claims between 20 lakhs to 1 crore. The national level deal with cases involving claims exceeding 1 crore.
Thus, the consumer protection act helps in protection and welfare for consumers in every possible manner.
