Step-by-step explanation:

ANSWER:-

Given :

Breadth is 2/3rd Length of Rectangle .

Let the Breadth be x.

So, the length will be \frac{2x}{3}.

Now, we need to know that:-

Perimeter = 2×(Length+ Breadth)

So, placing accordingly, we get

200 = 2( \frac{2x}{3}  +  x)

 200 = 2( \frac{2x + 3x}{3} )

200 = 2 \times ( \frac{5x}{3} )

200 =  \frac{10x}{3}

600 = 10x

x = 60

Now, as 2/rd is the length,

Length is 40 metres.

Breadth is 60 metres.

Things to Note:-

  • The perimeter is 2 × ( Lebgth + Breadth)
  • The area is Length x Breadth
  • Always take any constant x
  • This makes Equations easier.
  • Do not take 2 variables unless and until it is mentioned
  • Two variables need to 2 cases.
  • In this we had only one case.
  • Things inside the Bracket are solved first under BODMAS.

Question:-

The breadth of rectangular garden is two-third of its length. If the perimeter of the garden is 200m, Find it's Length and Breadth.

\huge\mathcal\color{green}AnSwEr::

Given :

Breadth is 2/3rd Length of Rectangle .

Let the Breadth be x.

Therefore, the length will be \large{\bold{\frac{2x}{3}}}

We know:-

Perimeter = 2×(Length+ Breadth)

Accordingly,

200 = 2( \frac{2x}{3} + x)200

200 = 2( \frac{2x + 3x}{3} )

200 = 2 \times ( \frac{5x}{3} )

200 = \frac{10x}{3}

600 = 10x

x = \frac{600}{10}

x = 60

Given, 2/3rd is the length,

Length is 40 metres.

Breadth is 60 metres.
