solution

from the diagram

let find the value of x first

x°+110°=180°   {sum of angle in a triangle is 180}

x=180°-110°

⇒x°=70°

then we now find the value of y°

y°+40°+70°=180°

⇒y°+110°=180°

y°=180°-110°

y°=70°

x=180-110=70

y=180-(70+40)

=70

so, x = y= 70

sides opp to equal angles are equal

so, side AB=AC

so, it is an isosceles triangle and the equal sides are AB and AC

Hope it helped:)
