so the remaining portion undone is 1 -

so the remaining portion : 8/9 part of the whole book

so 1/2 of the remaining i.e. 1/2 of 8/9 done in next 3 months ie 8/18 part done

so 1/9 + 8/18 part done

calculate their sum and subtract the sum from 1

the fraction left is the no. of pages left to be written so multiply the result with 729 to get the no. of pages left
