3) m1 = 4 kg
m2 = 50gm = 50/1000 = 1/20 kg
u1 = u2 = 0
v2 = 35m/s
v1 = ?
so, m1*u1 + m2*u2 = m1*v1 + m2*v2
=> 0 + 0 = 4*v1 + 1/20*35
=> 4 v1 + 7/4 = 0 (we have moved left side equation to right side and vice versa)
=> v1 = 0 - 7/4*1/4
=> v1 = -7/16 m/s

But why u1 and u2 are 0 ?
bcoz it is initial velocity
as initial velocity will be 0 when bullet is not launched
but when bullet colloids with the refile its velocity changes and will be 35m/s , actually way of ques is something difficult to understand!
