Answer:

In triangle ABC and triangle DEF

AC=DE(given)

angle ACB = angle FDE

angle ABC = angle DEF

Therefore, triangle ABC congruent to triangle DEF (A-A-S axiom)

Therefore AB=FE (c.p.c.t)

BD + CD = CD + DF

BD = DF (c.p.c.t)

Answer:

To prove :

1. AB = FE

2. BD = CF

Proof :

In triangle ABC & DEF ,

i) angle ABC = angle DFE ( AB || DF interior opposite angles )

ii) AC = DE ( given )

iii) angle ACB = angle FDE ( angle corresponding to equal sides are equal )

By AAS congruency triangle ABC is congruent to triangle DEF .

1. AB = FE ( by c.p.c.t )

2. BC = DF ( by c.p.c.t )

BC - CD = DF - CD

BD = CF

Hence Proved !!!

Hope it helps you!
