Let
No. of ₹1 coins = x
Value of ₹1 coins = 1*x = x
No. of ₹2 coins = y
Value of ₹2 coins = 2*y = 2y
ATQ

x/y = 5/4
x + 2y = 65
To find y put x= 5y/4 in the above equation
i.e
5y/4 + 2y = 65
(5y +8y)4 = 65
13y = 65*4
y = 65*4/13 = 5*4 = 20

Therefore option C is correct

Let the number of ₹1 coin = 5x

So, the number of ₹2 coin = 4x

Amount from,

₹1 = ₹(1 × 5x) = ₹5x

₹2 = ₹(2 × 4x) = ₹8x

According to Question,

Total Amount = ₹65

5x + 8x = 65

⇒ 13x = 65

⇒ x = 65 / 13

⇒ x = 5

Number of Coins »

₹1 = 5x = 5(5) = 25

₹2 = 4x = 4(5) = 20

Hence, Option (C) is correct.

There are 25 coins of ₹1 and 20 coins of ₹2
