draw a line which divides the E and parallel to AB and CD and name this line EF.
now AB and EF are parallel to each other.
✓BAE=✓AEF( co interior angles)
we know that
sum of interior angles is 180°.
✓BAE+✓AEF=180
x/2+108°=180°
x/2=72°.
now again
✓DCE=✓CEF
✓DCE+✓CEF=180°
x/2+112°=180
x/2=68°
✓AEC=✓AEF+✓CEF=x/2+x/2=68+72=140° answer

Join B and D straight line. They become right angles. Now sum of all the angles in a polygon is (2n-4) * 90 degrees. Here it is pentagon which has five sides, AECDB. Now sum of angles should be 540 degrees. Now do the sum x+108+112+90+90=x+400. Now x+400=540. So x=140 degrees. Geometry can be done in many ways. Smart way has to be picked.
