Hey!!!

____________

let theta be A(easy for typing)

We have,

=> secA = 3k
=> tanA = 3/k

We know

=> sec²A - tan²A = 1

Replacing value

=> (3k)² - (3/k)² = 1

=> 9k² - 9/k² = 1

Taking 9 common

 =  > ( {k}^{2}  -  \frac{1}{ {k}^{2} } ) =  \frac{1}{9}

__________

Hope this helps ✌️

Good Night :)
