Mrs. Al Smith makes the following statements about the French:

(i) “You French have a very cute way of doing business”.

(ii) “Frenchmen usually have to consult about tenpeople before they get a move on”.

Mrs Al Smith believes that French are not verybusiness-minded and they don’t go into any details.Moreover she also believes that the French are fickle-minded and they cannot make their own decisions.

1.Two statements made by Mrs Al Smith about French people are :
(a) "You French people has a pretty way of doing business " : she said this as the selling price of the villa was not written on the 'Villa for sale's board.
(b) "French people has to consult about ten people before making any decision,but you are an exception ": she said this as Gaston refused to discuss her wife before selling the Villa.
She said both the statements in a sarcastic tone.

2. I think Gaston is better in business as he made a quick deal with Mrs.Al Smith and earn a cool hundred thousand francs for the property which never belongs to him. Also he shows his witness by telling one day before date to be written on the bill so that it all looks legal while Juliette only used to flatter people to sell the Villa. Thus Gaston was a better business man.
