34)i)A prime number is the number which has only two factors,1 and the number itself. hence 1 is only common factor fir two prime numbers making it HCF.

ii)Let us take two consecutive numbers as 5 and 6. The two numbers have 1 as a common factor and nothing else. Hence 1 is the HCF. This proves that the HCF of any two consecutive numbers is always a one.

iii)The HCF of two coprime numbers is always 1. For example, 5 and 9 are coprime numbers, and hence, HCF (5, 9)=1.

iv)HCF of 2 and even number will be 2 itself. It is because the highest common factor of the even number taken would be 2.
