Answer:

Gold

Explanation:

  • Gold is a chemical element with the symbol Au (from Latin: aurum) and atomic number 79, making it one of the higher atomic number elements that occur in nature. It is a lustrous, slightly orange-yellow, dense, soft, ductile and malleable metal in its pure form.
  • A relatively rare element, gold is a precious metal that has been used for minting coins, jewelry, and other arts throughout recorded history. In the past, a gold standard was often implemented as  monetary policy. However, gold coins fell out of circulation during the 1930s, and the global gold standard was dropped for a fiat currency system following Nixon's shock measures in 1971.
  • An important gold producer in India is the Hutti Gold Mine, located in the Raichur district of Karnataka. The operation was initially put into production in 1902, although it was later closed in 1918 due to lack of funding due to World War I. From its relaunch in 1947 until 2020, it has produced approximately 84 tons of gold and is currently the sole significant  producer of gold manufacturer in India.
