Answer :-

h = 20 m

Given :-

u = 20 m/s

v = 0 m/s

g = 10 m/s²

To find :-

The maximum height attained by the body :-

Solution:-

Since, The body is thrown vertically upward hence it's final velocity will be 0.

By using equation of motion:-

 \huge \boxed{ 2gh = v^2 - u^2 }

  -2gh = (0)^2 - u^2

 h = \dfrac{-u^2}{-2g}

Maximum height attained by the body under the influence of gravity is given by :-

 \huge \boxed{h =\dfrac{ u^2 }{2g }}

 h = \dfrac{(20)^2}{2 \times 10}

 h = \dfrac{400}{20}

 h = 20 m

hence,

Maximum height reached by the ball is 20 m.

Answer:

velocity u= 20ms^-1

height= ?

gravity = 10ms^-2

for max height s=0

v^2= u^2 +2gS (a=g)

0^2=(20)^2 +2×9.8× S

S= -1000//g= -20.41 (~)

Max height= 20m
