Step-by-step explanation:
c,p of 15 articles = ₹ 112.50
c.p of 1 article = 112.50 ÷ 15
= ₹ 7.50
s.p of 12 articles = ₹ 108
s.p of 1 articles = 108 ÷ 12
= ₹ 9
s.p of 15 articles = 9 × 15 = ₹ 135
s.p is greater than c.p
so man made a profit
gain / profit = s.p - c.p
= 135 - 112.50
= ₹ 22.50
gain% = gain / c.p × 100
= 22.50 / 112.50 × 100
= 20%
gain on selling 1 article =
s.p of 1 article - c.p.of 1 article
= 9 - 7.50
= ₹ 1.50
if the man wants to make profit of ₹ 75 ,
no. of articles he should sell
= total profit / profit on 1 article
= 75 ÷ 1.50
= 50
The man should sell 50 articles to make the profit of ₹ 75.
