Given: 5 tan theta = 4
Now, tan theta = sin theta / cos theta.... substitute this in the given data
5 * sin theta/cos theta = 4
5 sin theta = 4 cos theta .....(i) [both LHS & RHS was multiplied by cos theta]
To Show:
5 sin theta - 3 cos theta / 5 sin theta + 2 cos theta = 1/6
Consider the LHS. substitute the value of 5 sin theta from (i) in LHS of above equation.
4 cos theta - 3 cos theta / 4 cos theta + 2 cos theta = 1 cos theta / 6 cos theta = 1/6... HENCE PROVED
Either the denominator part of the question is 5 sin theta+ 2 cos theta or the RHS to be proved is 1/2. Here i have assumed the denominator part to be 5 sin theta + 2 cos theta
