Step-by-step explanation:

in the first figure,

/_DAE + /_DAC +/_CAB = 180°

.......( linear pair)

(x + 31 )° + (x + 20 )° + x° = 180°

3x° + 51° = 180°

3x° = 180° - 51°

x° = 129° / 3

x = 43°

________________________

for the 2nd figure , As we have given

/_APQ = 60° , /_PRD = 143°

/_PRC +/_PRD = 180°

........(linear pair)

/_PRC + 143° = 180°

/_PRC = 180° - 143°

= 37°

if two lines are parallel then the measure of sum interior angles is 180°

here, AB || CD

therefor,

/_BPR +/_PRD = 180°

/_BPR + 143° = 180°

/_BPR = 180° - 143°

= 37°

Now,

/_APC + /_CPR +/_BPR = 180°

60° + /_CPR + 37° = 180°

/_CPR = 180° - 97

/_CPR = 83° = y

y = 83°

we know, sum of the measures of angles of triangle is 180°

/_CPR + /_PRC +/_PCR = 180°

83° + 37° + /_PCR = 180°

/_PCR + 120° = 180°

/_ PCR = x = 180° - 120°

x = 60°
