As we know , static friction is a variable force so it can be less than or greater to kinetic friction.

At beginning, when we move a body there acts a friction and this friction increases as we apply more force (static friction) and after that body starts moving (kinetic friction).

So max. kinetic friction=uN

Now we know N=normal force=mass×acceleration due to gravity

So,N=u×mg
