in the above figure EF is parallel to GH so that means adjacent angles HGE and GEF, EFH and FHG are add up-to 180

so let's say HGE = X

then GEF will. be 180-x,

but if you see the vertices they are on the circle

so it's a cyclic quadrilateral

that means opposite angles add up-to 180 so FHG=X

now draw a line from EH

now there will be two triangles EGH and FHG

they are congruent how means angle GEH = angle GFH because they are drawn from same chord

and we have proven angle EGH =FHG

and same side GH

so by AAS congruence they are congruent

so now by Cpct EG is congruent to FH

hence proved
