we know that resistance is directly proportional to the length of wire and inversely proportional to the area of the wire.
so let the resistance of wires are R1 & R2.
so R1/R2 = (l1/A1) /(l2/A2)
=> R1/R2 = l1A2/l2A1.
we are given that l2=2l1. and A2=2A1.
so now we just need to put the values.
R1/R2={ l1(3A1)} /(2l1)A1=3/2
R2=2R1/3=2*12/3=8ohm
so let the resistance of wires are R1 & R2.
