INTERNET ==>>Internet is a global network of computers.Internet is very useful.It provides us with facilities like communication ,information,entertainment .It has also revolutionized methods of commerce and economy through interconnection of various computer networks .Text,voice,videos,computer programmes all of these can be sent and received through this interconnection that may be through servers or routers.It connects millions and billions of computers .Even though we use internet every time coming to its definition we all may get a bit a confused as internet is actually serving various functions and defining it in a sentence may be not enough !!
SOCIAL MEDIA ==>>Coming to the simplest definition or form of social media .....just look at your phone.The name itself describes its features "social". It is a computer based technology that facilitates the idea of sharing ideas,information and building of virtual networks and communities.It is internet based by design.It offers easy electronic communication of personal information and other contents like videos and photos .!!!

What is Internet?
When we connect two or more than two computer via a wire so that we can share files between them is called internet.
What is Social Media?
When we connect to people through internet to chat, share images and videos, to call and to do video call etc... is called social network... but the technology we are using to make this all things possible is called Social Media.
if you are still confuse and my answer didn't helped you yet, look at these examples:-
Facebook and Whatsapp are biggest example of Social Media, we can share share images, do voice and video calls and chat through them, isn't?
