By taking the diagonal of the parralelogram as the common hypotenuse of both triangles.

first know the height and base 's length and by putting the formula [hypotheses = square root of perpendicular + base ] find the area of the triangle.

The line which have divided the parralelogram into 2 halves is the diagonal.
And the area of both the triangles will be equal.
