Differentaite the equation of curve with respect to x

\frac{dy}{dx} = 12 - 3x^2

\frac{dy}{dx} is the slope of the tangent.

We know that slope of any line parallel to x-axis is zero.

So,

\frac{dy}{dx} = 0

That means

12 - 3x^2 = 0

4 - x^2 = 0

x = ±2

Substitute both values of x in the equation of curve to find y

When x = 2

y = 12×2 - 2³

y = 16

When x = -2

y = 12×(-2) - (-2)³

y = -24 + 8

y = -16

So the points are

(2 , 16) and (-2 , -16)

So answer is option (B)
