(b) (i) \bold{R} Electric current passes from positive terminal to negative terminal.
So from positive terminal electric current passes to bulb R cannot reach it's negative terminal due to the obstruction of bulb S, for which it will not lit up.

\bold{T} Electric current passes from positive terminal to negative terminal.
So from positive terminal electric current passes to bulb R cannot reach it's negative terminal due to the obstruction of bulb S, for which the electric will not reach bulb T also. So bulb T will also not lit up.

(ii) This happened because may be connections are loose or unclean between bulb R and S or the bulb S may have been fused.
