the total resistance is 1.5 ohm
because above and below horizatal resistors are in series
that's why above
1 +1 +1 =3ohm
below horizatal line
1 +1 +1=3 ohm
and this two are in parallel that's why
1/3+1/3=2/3
and taking its inverse we get
3/2 ohm means 1.5ohm

the total resistance of the circuit is 1/R=1/3 +1/3
1/R=2/3
R =3/2=1.5 ohm
1/R=2/3
R =3/2=1.5 ohm
your second question of the answer is 7 ohm
