Technology is a collection of techniques , skills , methods and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives such as scientific investigation. The simplest form of technology is the development and use of basic tools.

Technology is our invention. It is based on science on our practical knowledge, our ability to put science into everyday practice and life. It comprises of all machines, from small to big, from simple to sophisticated, from cheap to expensive. Technology reflects our ability to put science in everyday life for our benefit, to ease our work and tasks, and to increaee our productivity with minimum efforts and in least time.

Technology is a boon as well as bane.
Boon because it has made our simpler, better, increased our standard of living, made us richer, etc. It has created many new machines and techniques which have made our dreams come true. Early man was fascinated and astonished by the sun, moon and stars. He wanted to reach them, but he could not. This dream came true partially when Neil Armstrong set his foot on moon. He was fascinated by the planets. The launch of Sputnik began the Space Age, when we began launching and sending sattelites into space. He dreamt of flying like birds. Now we cannot fly like birds individually, but we can surely be in air. The day is not far when we will leave our imprints on Mars, when we will reach other stars, when we will meet our alien brothers and when we will be a universal civilisation.
