Soil Erosion

Soil erosion is caused by natural and man made causes. The natural causes are air, water and fire. The man made cause is excessive cultivation. Soil erosion causes floods and barrens fertile lands. However, it can be prevented by constructing dams on rivers and practising contour ploughing on mountain slopes.
