Nandan kanan Zoological park is a real beauty of various animals. No. of white tigers are roaming on a trench. Chameleon changes it's colour with the surroundings. So many nocturnal animals kept in cages. ( Various owls.) Lion safari you can see them with a van of zoo authority . They are open. Various birds with attractive plumage are there. Black bears are there. Giraffes , Rhinos are there. Camels are there. Ostrich runner birds are also there.

Important endangered species housed in Nandankanan include: Gharial, Estuarine Crocodile, Mugger crocodile, Peafowl, White-necked stork, Tiger, Leopard, Himalayan Black bear, Sloth bear, Manipuri deer, Barasingha, Nilgir langur, Lion-tailed macaque, Indian pangolin, Blackbuck ,etc.
