According to the question,

CSA = 2 π r h

The curved surface area of a right circular cylinder is 88 cm ².

➝88 = 2 π r h

We , know that diameter is 2r.

 \dfrac{2 \times 22 \times 14 \times r}{7}   = 88

 \dfrac{616 \times r}{7}  = 88

 r  =  \dfrac{88 \times 7}{616}

 r =  \cancel{\dfrac{616}{616}}

➝ r = 1 cm

Hence , its founded our radius to be 1 cm.

We know that diameter is 2r

➝ 2 × r

➝ 2× 1

➝ 2 cm

⟹ Hence, The Diameter of base of cylinder is 2cm.
