1. area of a parallelogram=b×h

h=CE=6.2 (outer height)

b=AB=12

area=b×h

=12×6.2

=74.4cm square

2. BF is also the height of parallelogram which is perpendicular to AD

So, area of parallelogram=b×h

74.4=AD×BF

74.4=8×BF

74.4/8=BF

9.3 cm=BF

hope it helps...
