Please Visualize the solution given below to the asked query :-

Given that

Area = $480m^2$

Length of the plot is 3 more than twice it's breath.

Let's Breadth be $x$

∴ Length =  $2x+3$..............(1)

∵ Area of Rectangle =  $(Length*Breadth)$

480 =  $(2x+3)x$

480 =  $2x^2+3x$

$\boxed{2x^2+3x = 480}$................(quadratic equation)

It is the form of $ax^2+bx+c$

Here ⇒ a = 2, b= 3 and c= -480

We are going to rectify this equation with quadratic formula :-

→ $x$ = $\frac{-b±\sqrt{b^2-4ac} }{2a}$

$x$ = $\frac{-3±\sqrt{3^2 - 4*2*(-480)} }{2*2}$

$x$ = $\frac{-3±\sqrt{3849} }{4}$

$x$ = $\frac{-3±(62.04)}{4}$

Possible case :-

$x$ = $\frac{62.04+(-3)}{4}$

$x$ = $\frac{62.04-3}{4}$

$x$ = 14.76

∴ Thus Breadth of Plot = 14.76m

∵ Length = $2x+3$............(applied 1 statement)

               = $2*14.76+3$

               = $32.52$  

∴ Length of Plot = 35.52m
