Physics

First Velocity (Vo) = 7 m/s

acceleration (a) = -2 m/s²

Last Velocity (Vt) = 0 (because it stops)

Time : ____?

Answer :

Vt = Vo + a × t

0 = 7 + (-2) × t

-7 = (-2)t

3,5 seconds = t

Given :

  • Initial velocity (u) = 7 m/s
  • Final velocity (v) = 0 m/s
  • Acceleration (a) = -2 m/s²

To find :

  • Time (t)

According to the question,

v = u + at

Where,

  • v stands for Final velocity
  • u stands for Initial velocity
  • t stands for Time
  • a stands for Acceleration

Substituting the values,

→ 0 = 7 + (-2) × t

→ 0 - 7 = -2t

→ -7 = -2t

→ 7 ÷ 2 = t

→ 3.5 = t

So,the time is 3.5 seconds...
