200gm of golf ball moving with a velocity of 100m/s collide with a 4 kg steel of ball at rest. if the collision is elastic, compute the velocities of both ball after collision.
Anonymous:
for the elastic collision , both will move with same velocity

⭐《ANSWER》
↗Actually welcome to the concept of the COLLISIONS
↪Basically in the given above case , we can see that ..
↪A Light body that is golf ball of mass 200 gm is moving with 100 m/s , collides to a Heavy body ( in comparsion with the golf ball ) of steel of mass 4 kg at REST ..
↪So according to the ELASTIC COLLISION THEORY ,
↪When a light body with a initial velocity collides with a heavy body at the rest , the velocity of the light body rebounds and the light object moves in the opposite direction with same speed , where as
↪the heavy body (here steel ball) remains undisturbed at rest
↪So Analysing the given info , we get as
↪The veocity of the golf ball after elastic collision will be
↪Vg = -100 m/s or 100 m/s in opposite direction
↪velocity of the steel ball =》 Vs = 0 ( at rest)
