Answer:

1. Direct combination or synthesis: A reaction in which two or more substances combine. together to form a single substance is called a combination reaction or synthesis.

For example barium metal and fluorine gas will combine in a highly exothermic reaction to form the salt barium fluoride: Another example is given by magnesium oxide combining with carbon dioxide: Often, reaction can fall into more than one category.

2. Displacement is defined as the change in position of an object. It is a vector quantity and has a direction and magnitude. It is represented as an arrow that points from the starting position to the final position. For example- If an object moves from A position to B, then the object's position changes.

3. a reaction in which two compounds exchange ions, typically with precipitation of an insoluble product.

4. Note that PbO is an insoluble base and HNO3 is an acid. Pb(NO3)2 is a soluble salt of lead.since by the reaction, only salt and water is formed, it is a neutralization reaction.

5. Most bases (alkalis) will release OH- ions into solution and this is what makes the solution more basic. H+ and OH- ions will readily combine to form water which is neutral. Note that both of the products formed (salt and water) are neutral. This is why the reaction is called a neutralisation reaction.
