1. If the fruit seller making profit of rs.3 on 1 apple then on 498 apple he would make 1494 rs. profit
(just multiply 498 by 3)
By selling oranges he is in loss of 2rs each orange
therefore by selling 567 orange the loss occurred to him is 1134
(just multiply 567 by 2)
Total profit is 1494-1134=360
2. Now if he sold 714 oranges his loss would be 714 ×2 = 1428
To cover up that loss and having neither profit or loss you have to divide 1428 by 3 because the profit is rs.3 from an apple
