see first find the area of the two circles..... jion AB and an equilateral triangle is formed because the angle is 60 degree find the area of the arc AB......substract it from the added area of two triangles.....after substracting add the area of the inner triangle OCD in the same way to get the are of shaded portion

(22/7×42×42)-(1/2×42×42×(60/360)×π)-(1/2×21×21×(300/360)×π)
