Just factories the denominator and see if it has only 2 and 5 as factors or any other factors....if it has only 2 and 5 then it will be a terminating decimal and otherwise non terminating

In such a situation, all you have to do is find the factors of the given denominator. Check if the factors are in- 2^n × 5^m form or only 2^n and 5^m factors. If it fulfils this required condition then it's terminating, otherwise non-terminating.

Example: 80/27

27 = 3^3. So it's not in the required form. Thus it's a non terminating decimal.
