As the earth's axis is tilted so when it reaches to the west during revolution more part of northern hemisphere faces the sun and get direct rays of the sun and it experiences summer. But,in the,meanwhile,the southern hemisphere get less heat of the sun and experiences winter.It is called the solar eclipse.
