Answer :

Given,

a = 7 - 4√3

= 4 - 4√3 + 3

= 2² - (2 × 2 × √3) + (√3)²

= (2 - √3)²

So, √a = 2 - √3

Now,

1/√a = 1/(2 - √3)

= (2 + √3)/{(2 - √3)(2 + √3)}

= (2 + √3)/(4 - 3)

= 2 + √3

Therefore,

√a + 1/√a

= 2 - √3 + 2 + √3

= 4

Hi there!

Given :-
a = 7 - 4√3

= 4 - 4√3 + 3

= 2² - (2 × 2 × √3) + (√3)²

= (2 - √3)²

Thus, √a = 2 - √3

Now,

1 /√a = 1 / (2 - √3)

= (2 + √3) / [ (2 - √3)(2 + √3) ]

= (2 + √3) / (4 - 3)

= 2 + √3

Thus,

√a + 1 /√a

= 2 - √3 + 2 + √3

= 2 + 2

= 4

Hence, The required answer is :- √a + 1 /√a = 4

Hope it helps! :)
