Its given that
a5=17
a+4d=17.......(1)eq
a9=a2+35
a9-a2=35
a+8d-a-d=35
7d=35
d=5
Putting d value in eq (1).........
a+4d=17
a+4*5=17
a+20=17
a=17-20
a=-3
a20=a+19d
a20=-3+19*5
a20=-3+95
a20=92...Ans
The 20th term of A.P is 92..

I guess the first question is wrong
a5 = a+4d = 17
a2 = a+d
a9 = a+8d
So, a9 = a2+35
which is, a+8d = a+d+35
a is canceled
So, 8d = d+35
8d-d = 35
7d = 35
d = 5
a+4d =17
a+4×5 = 17
a+20 = 17
a = 17-20
a = -3
a20 = a+19d
= -3+19×5
= -3+95
= 92
