= 2 (a+b) - (2a-b)
= 2a +2b -2a+ b
= 3b
(ii) 3x -2y
= 3 (a+b) -2 ( 2a -b)
= 3a +3b -4a +2b
= -a + 5b

3rd side = perimeter-( 1st side + 2nd side)
3rd side = 5 -3x +7x^2 -{( 2x^2 +3x-2)+ (3x^2 -x+3)}

= 5-3x +7x^2 -( 5x^2 +2x+1)
= 5 -3 x +7x^2 -5x^2 -2x -1
= 4 -5x +2x^2

so the third side equals 4 -5x +2x^2
