First given that

He bought 50 kg for ₹500

He sold for ₹12 per kg

Since he sold for ₹12 per kg,

=> selling price for 50 kg
= 50 × 12

= ₹600

Here,

CP = ₹500

SP = ₹600

SP > CP

so there is profit

Profit = SP - CP

=> Profit = 600 - 500

=> Profit = ₹100
