“The linear magnification produced by a spherical mirror is +1/3. Analysing this value state the (i) type of mirror and (ii) position of the object with respect to the pole of the mirror. Draw ray diagram to justify your answer.

(i) The respective mirror is a convex mirror as its magnification holds a positive sign.

(ii) As we know that a convex mirror always forms an erect and virtual image so, the image will be formed behind the mirror and will be diminished.
