given mass of stone=72g

volume of cylinder=24ml

increased volume=42ml

increase in volume=42-24ml

=18ml

volume of stone = 18ml

density of stone = 72/18

4gml-3

Thank you☺

we know that,

1ml = 1 {cm}^{3}

water in the cylinder=24ml=24 cubic cm

increased water level=42 ml=42 cubic cm

volume of stone=increased in water level-water contained in cylinder=42-24=18cubic cm

and given mass=72g

Density=mass/volume

 \frac{72g}{18 {cm}^{3} }  =  \frac{4g}{ {cm}^{3} }

density=4g/cm^3
