Energy Consumption = Wattage * number of hours an appliance is switched on
Total Energy consumption per day
= one lamp * 100 W * 2 hrs
+ two lamps * 60 W * 4 hrs
+ one fan * 50 W * 8 hrs
= 200 Watt hrs + 480 Watt hrs + 400 Watt hrs
= 1, 080 Watt hrs
1 unit of energy = 1 kWh
So consumption = 1.080 electrical units each day
