Step-by-step explanation:

required area =

area of rectangle-[area of un shaded region]

area of rectangle =lenght *breadth

=8*6=48cm²

there are three tringles

area of triangle is 1/2base*height

area of triangles=[1/2*2*8+1/2*3*6+1/2*4*5]

=8+9+10=27cm²

area of shaded region=48-27=21cm²

According to me, the answer is 21cm..

Explanation::
First find the area of Rectangle that is the outer figure..i.e48 cm sq.
Now there are 4 right angled triangles inside the rectangle..
so, find the area of all those R-A triangles..
After finding the area of all those triangles, find the total area of all the R-A triangles ..

THE FINAL STEP::
Subtract the total area of the 4 triangles from the area of the outer rectangle...
(i.e 48-27) ,
We get the answer as 21cm sq.

So the final answer is 21 cm sq.
Hope it helps u..
THANKS..
