Heya!!
F(x) = x²k² - 3xk + 3x - 1
F(x) = x²k² -3x(k - 1 ) - 1
This polynomial has two zero's/roots becoz it's maximum degree is 2.
It is given that it's one root is 1, let it's another root be a.
1 + a = 3 ( k - 1 )/k² ... Equation i
And
1 × a = -1/k²
a = -1/k²
Now, put value of a in above equation we have
1 - 1/k² = 3( k - 1 )/k²
k² - 1 = 3 ( k - 1 )
k² - 3k + 2 = 0
k² - 2k - k + 2 = 0
k ( k - 2 ) -1 ( k - 2 ) = 0
( k -1 ) = 0 OR ( k - 2 ) = 0
k = 1 OR k = 2
