Answer:

x= (4+\sqrt 10)/3   ,    (4-\sqrt10)/3

Step-by-step explanation:

1/x+1/(x-2)=3

taking lcm     (x-2+x)/x(x-2)=3

cross multiplying     2x-2=3^{2}-6x

                                3^{2}-8x+2=0

now by using quadratic eqn formula

*\\in below solution there is everywhere -b±√b²-4ac

x= \frac{-b+\sqrt{b^{2}-4ac } }{2a}

     \frac{8+\sqrt{(-8)^{2}-4*3*2 } }{2*3}\\ \\\frac{8+\sqrt{64-24} }{6\\}\\\\\frac{8+\sqrt{40} }{6}

   x=\frac{8+2\sqrt{10} }{6}   now taking 2 as common

x=\frac{4+\sqrt{10} }{3}

therefore x has two sol.

x= (4+√10)/3      and (4-√10)/3

hope this is helpful..... (*3*)
