Side of the triangle are a = 20 cm, b = 60cm and c = 60cm

Using Heron's formula to calculate the area of the triangle.

a =  \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

where s = semi perimeter of the triangle

s = ( a + b + c ) / 2

s = ( 20 + 60 + 60 ) / 2

s = ( 140 ) / 2

s = 70 cm

a =  \sqrt{70(70- 20)(70 - 60)(70 - 60)}  \\ a =  \sqrt{70(50)(10)(10)}

a =  \sqrt{3500 \times 100}

a =  \sqrt{350000}

a = 100 \sqrt{35} cm

Area for 10 such pieces = 100√35 × 10

= 1000√35 cm²

= 1000 × 5.91607

= 5916.07 cm²

Total cost of umbrella = Rs 2000

Cost of 1000√35 cm² cloth is Rs 2000

cost of 1 cm² cloth will be Rs 2000 / 1000√35

cost of 10 cm² cloth will be Rs = ( 2/√35 ) × 10

= 20 / √35

on rationalisation

= 20 / √35 × ( √35 / √35 )

= 20√35 / 35

= 4√35 / 7

= 4×5.916 / 7. { 35 = 5.916 }

= Rs 3.38
